Peoples Democratic Party youth leader declared wanted in Rivers state
The Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Eleme Local Government Area Rivers State Chapter, Princewill Osaroejiji, has been declared wanted by the State Government over alleged criminal activities.
Penpushing reports that, the Rivers State Government in a statement issued by Commissioner for Information and Communications, Paulinus Nsirim declared that N5 million would be given to anyone who provided reliable information that would lead to his arrest.
The State Government in a related development declared that two hotels: Prudent Hotel located at Alode, Eleme and Etemeteh Hotel in Onne, would be demolished for allegedly flouting government’s directive on the closure of hotels.
Penpushing further reports that, in another development, Cross River State government on Saturday intercepted and sent back another set of trucks carrying no fewer than 30 ‘Almajiri” at the Gakem-Benue border in the State.
The Chairperson, Cross River Coronavirus Taskforce, Betta Edu made this known adding all the Almajiris were immediately taken back in the same trucks conveying them, explaining that the. trucks were intercepted by the Commissioner for Youths and Skills Acquisitions, Signor Idiege, with a team of security operatives on enforcing the ”No Entry” directive of the government at the border.
The Chairperson said the commissioner equally sent an escort to move with the trucks to ensure that they did not divert through any other route to the state, stressing, “it is important for the Federal Government to support these people where they are rather than allow them move from one part of the country to the other.
“Remember COVID-19 does not move but people move, so, if these people are coming from states that have the virus, of course, for us in Cross River, we do not want them here. That is the only way we can reduce the number that is building everyday and contain the virus,” she said.
