Pastor arrested for alleged rape of 16 year girl inside church

The Pastor of Living Power of Zion Church, located in Ndue Eduo, Okon Eket, Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State has been arrested for allegedly drugging a 16 year old girl, who thereafter raped.

Penpushing reports that, the 35 year old randy cleric, Nnamso Friday popularly called, ‘Major Prophet Honesty Jesus,’ committed the crime inside his church, when the innocent girl went for counseling and deliverance.

The clergyman was said to have fixed deliverance service as the General Overseer of the church, but ended up responding to satanic voice, drugged the girl before he raped her.

The Akwa Ibom Police Command Public Relations Officer,  N-nudam Fredrick who confirmed the incident while the girl was on the pastor’s counseling room, administered an intoxicating liquid substance into her body

“While she was in the prophet’s counselling room, the suspect administered an intoxicating liquid substance to the victim and thereafter took advantage of the victim and had unlawful carnal knowledge of her,” Fredrick said.

Penpushing reports he was the second pastor to be arrested for rape in Akwa Ibom in less than a month, while in same vein. Another Pastor was arrested on Wednesday for keeping eight teenage girls in a so-called deliverance centre and allegedly raping one of them said to be 15 years old.

The police said the girls are between the ages of 13 and 16, adding that the identified 33 year old pastor known as Inimfon Eyo Inyang, was said to have also made an attempt to rape a 21-year-old girl.

Penpushing also reports that, the Commissioner of Police in Akwa Ibom, Imohimi Edgal, has declared that sexual offenders in state will not be spared from facing the law, and would be prosecuted.
