Oyo state first lady celebrates with children ahead of Christmas

The wife of the Oyo State Governor, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde on Sunday hosted children at a Christmas party and carol service calling on them to be generous and kind to themselves particularly during this Christmas season.
Penpushing reports that Makinde speaking at ceremony held at Agodi Garderns, Ibadan reminded them that Christmas is a period to give to people, urging them not to be selfish in sharing whatever they have with their peers.
The Governor’s wife represented by Commissioner for Special Duty, Mrs. Funmilayo Orisadeyi pointed out that “this season reminds us of God’s love for us, that is why we come here together to share the joy of this Christmas season.
Penpushing further reports that, she however thanked parents and guardians for taking good care of the children, saying that their support and kindness for the kids is highly commendable and appreciated.
The wife of the Governor Orisadeyi called on the parents to continue to raise the children so that they can become responsible citizens in future.
Penpushing also reports that the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Mrs Christiana Adeoye in her welcome address, thanked the wife of the governor for always having in mind welfare of women and children in the state.
The Permanent Secretary pointed out that the first lady has been putting smile to the faces of the people, and also thanked the Governor for supporting the program, saying that Makinde has touched positively many lives in the state since he has become the governor of the state.
