OYO POLL: FOUR PARTIES MERGE TO DISLODGE ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS

The spoke person for the coalition parties Senator Olufemi Lanlehin speaking on behalf of other opposition candidates said that it is no longer a news that a good number of parties in Oyo State have deliberately intensely over the last few weeks and have come to the resolution that there is an urgent need to free our dear state from the shackles of outside oppression and domination.

Penpushing further reports that, Lanlehin who was the former Governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) , said, “we have therefore decided that in order to present an effective and workable solution to the unpalatable situation where Oyo State has been remotely controlled for the past 8 years by an outside forces and all manner of constituted authority, there is the need to form this alliance of political parties in the state”.

The coalition emphasized that it firmly resolved to present one candidate in the person of Engr Oluseyi Makinde of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the office of Governor at the elections holding on March, 9.

“Makinde shall be heading by the special grace of God and the power of the people of Oyo State, a government of unity which will cater for the interest of all our people irrespectively of their political affiliation”.

Penpushing also reports that, the coalition said  in the interest of thriving democracy, it resolved that the House of Assembly election will be contested on party basis and all candidates in all the parties are encouraged to go to the polls and contest for the seats available in the Oyo State House of Assembly as scheduled.

“We hereby make a clarion call on the good people of Oyo State to vote enmass for  Engr Seyi Makinde so as to midwife an all-inclusive government of unity that belong to the people of Oyo State”.

The coalition urged all the people to reject the All Progressive Congress (APC) and its candidates in the State at the Saturdays election and vote for freedom and emancipation, adding that the government of unity will be one that will meet all the aspirations of the people of Oyo State by fully applying all the resources of the State for the development of the State.

 The Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)  Engr Seyi Makinde in his remark said that “history has been made today, we have come here to rescue our people with a common goal, although it is a difficult decision for this arrangement to have been made”, noting that the spirit and intent of the coming together of the coalition will be fully implement.

He however urged electorates in the State  to reject the All Progressives Congress( APC)  Governorship Candidate ,Bayo Adelabu,just as Governor Abiola Ajimobi was rejected at the Senatorial poll .

Penpushing reports that,dignitaries at the event include, Barrister Sharafadeen Ali, Chief Bolaji Ayorinde, Honorable Stanleyl Olajide, Senator Kola Balogun, Chief Waheed Adekanbi, Price Diran Odeyemi, Chief Soji Adagunodo, Chief Bisi Ilaka and  Alhaja Bosede Adedibu among others.
