Osoba is a man with large heart, says Daniel
Former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel has admitted that his predecessor, Chief Olusegun Osoba is a good man, with large heart who he (Daniel) learnt governance of continuity from for betterment of the state.
Penpushing reports that, Daniel made this known while speaking at the book launch authored by former Chairman Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council and a retired Permanent Secretary in the civil service held at Valley view of Government House, Abeokuta.
The two former Governors of the state were both special guests at the book launch where Daniel openly admitted that, Osoba was his boss in all ramifications, and would continued to honour him at every given opportunity.
Penpushing further reports that, Daniel who took over from Osoba disclosed that one big lesson he learnt from Osoba’s administration which worked for him as Governor is emulating his style of administration which focus on continuity
‘We continued with Osoba’s legacy in building government house at Oke-Igbein, and followed up this with the building of the valley view by our administration. I also retained Osoba’s secretary for four years. I also used all Osoba’s convoy drivers he left behind. Are all these not continuity’, Daniel emphasized
Penpushing also reports that, Daniel, however, admitted that, his administration was a little bit harsh on Osoba after he left office, but said all political differences were thereafter mended, stressing that, both are now in good and healthy cordial relationships
‘Baba Osoba is a good man. He is our leader and I learnt some lessons through him about governance and that is continuity. We shall continue to respect him as our leader. We emulate his style of continuity in government’, he stated
