Ogun state government affirms passage of Oba Sabir Bakre
The Ogun State Government has officially confirmed the passage of traditional ruler of Agura in Egbaland, Oba Sabir Bakre who was said to have passed on June 14, 2023
Penpushing reports that this affirmation was contained in a condolence message issued on Thursday by the government.adding that the deceased until his death controlled 72 townships under his jurisdiction
“The State Government, with heavy heart, announce the transition of Alayeluwa, Oba Sabur Babajide Ishola Bakre, the 9th Agura of Gbaguraland, on 14th of June, 2023. Oba Sabur Bakre was installed at Oke-Ido, Abeokuta on 21st May, 2019 by the State Government. He was one of traditional rulers of the five sections of the Egbaland and under his jurisdictions are 72 townships”,the statement reads
