OGUN GOVERNMENT EXPRESSES SATISFACTION ON PILGRIMS CONDUCT
The Board Scribe also called on the State Pilgrims on need to continue to cooperate with officials of the Board to make the remaining part of their Hajj pilgrimage a memorable experience, adding, “now that pilgrims have been confirmed with Hajj status, they should try and maintain the status quo by praying five times daily and uphold the tenets of Islam.”
“Planning will start in earnest for 2020 Hajj operation and intending pilgrims by then won’t regret it. Even now, we are already getting positive remarks about Ogun State Pilgrimage from neighbouring States” he stated.
Penpushing further reports that, Chief Imam and Head of Operations of the Board, Alhaji Buhari Inakoju, while delivering the Arafah Sermon stated in clear terms that the reward for a successful Hajj is paradise, and urged pilgrims to make the best use of the day of Arafah and the entire Hajj period for their own advantage.
The Chief Imam also urged pilgrims to continually ask Allah for forgiveness and the blessings of the entire Hajj exercise, stating that, “the most glorious day in the year is the day of Arafah and acceptance of prayer is usually at its peak during this period especially for those at Arafah” .
Penpushing also reports that, the Chairman of the Board, Alhaji Miftau Majekodunmi expressed gratitude to Allah for the glorious day, while number of the pilgrims from the State were full of thanks and gratitude to Allah.
“So far we are glad and satisfied with the turnout of things today. We are equally of the believe that our prayers have been answered”, they said.
Penpushing reports that, the Deputy Governor, Alhaja Noimot Oyedele _Salako has congratulated State Muslim pilgrims who are at Arafah, a part of the hajj rites marking the climax of Hajj Pilgrimage in the Macca.
The Deputy Governor who delivered the good will message through a telephone call to pilgrims in Saudi Arabia expressed her gratitude to Allah towards the success of pilgrims at Arafah noting that it was a great achievement.
“I am glad and grateful to Allah for the success of the 2019 Hajj, my prayer is that all that you pilgrims have supplicated from Allah be granted”, she said.
