OBASANJO WORSHIPS GOD AHEAD OF 81ST BIRTHDAY ANNIVERSARY

Similarly, Chaplain of the Church, Dr (Rev) Femi Olajide in his sermon identified three ways to be closer to God, which include; faith, prayers and praise, and in his motivational talks called on the congregation to be mindful of five ways to praise God.

He said, these include; invitational praise, testimonial praise, promise praise, true praise and sacrificial praise. Just as he used the celebrator as a living witness to the praises.

Notable personalities at the service include; Prof Oye Ibidapo-Obe with wife, Otunba  Oyewole Fasawe, Olayiwola Olakojo(former Secretary to Oyo State Government), Donald Duke(former Governor of Cross Rivers State),Dr Femi Majekodunmi, Gboyega Isiaka(former governorship candidate in Ogun State), Chie Akanle  and some traditional rulers among others.

Ọbásanjọ́ was born 5 March 1937,  a former Nigerian Army General who was President of Nigeria from 1999 to 2007. He was a career soldier before serving twice as his nation’s Head of State. He served as a military ruler from 13 February 1976 to 1 October 1979, and as a democratically elected president from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2007. Obasanjo also served as Chairperson of the African Union.
