Oba Ogunleye tasks youth on self-development

The traditional ruler of Akinale in Owu kingdom of Egbaland, Oba Olufemi Ogunleye has admonished the youth in his domain to turn a new leaf in the New Year by focusing on self-development as catalyst for their socioeconomic emancipation.

Penpushing reports that, Ogunleye gave the advice while addressing children and youth of the domain during a New Year party held in his palace and also warned them against social vices such as drug addiction, cultism and other delinquencies that could put them in trouble.

The Towulade Akinale, lamented about the state of unemployment and lack of structure for socio-economic development for the youth in the grassroot governance of Ogun State, and called on Nigerians to show interest in self-actualisation projects

‘I want to take this opportunity to call on sons and daughters of Akinale scattered into several towns and cities of Nigeria to come home and join in the provision of sustainable farming scheme that would enhance food production, food security and other self-actualising projects’.

Penpushing further reports that, the  children and grown up youth were lavishly entertained by the traditional ruler, who before his ascension to the throne was a notable  and popular veteran journalist
