Oba Matemilola Foundation Awards 118 Students with 2024/2025 Scholarship
The Oba Matemilola Oluyalo Otileta Foundation has awarded 118 students its 2024/2025 examination scholarship which also focused on tutorial lessons for core subjects: English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, Economics)
Penpushing reports that Chairperson of the foundation Olori Adijat Bamidele Matemilola while addressing the students at Olowu Palace venue of the ceremony explained that the gestures also include counselling support, adding that eligibility was based on satisfactory performance.
The Olori emphasized the importance of hard work, dedication, and cooperation with teachers, pointing out that the scholarship was a privilege, not a right, hence, need for the beneficiaries to take their studies seriously
Penpushing further reports that the Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Oba (Prof) Saka Matemilola on his own part charged the students in ensuring they excel academically and equally expressed appreciation to the donors for their invaluable support
The monarch emphasized that their contributions have made a significant impact on the educational development of Owu community, and explained that the recipients are expected to actively participate in tutorial lessons and related activities, with logistics coordinated through schools and the foundation’s administrator in consultation with parents/guardians.
