Nine injured as train crushes truck, tricycle in Kano state
A train crash involving a Dangote cement truck and tricycle, along Obasanjo Road in Kano metropolis of Kano State has caused various injuries on at least nine persons, said to have being rushed to the hospital
Penpushing reports that, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kano State Command Public Relations Officer Abdullahi Labaran, said the incident occurred on Sunday, adding that the incident caused panic and gridlock in the area.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) spokesman said the injured as at the time of the incident were rushed to Murtala Muhammad Specialists Hospital in Kano, just as an eyewitness account has it that the truck driver ignored warnings by bystanders of the movement of the train.
Penpushing further reports that, the witnesses said, the train rammed into the truck and the tricycle as they crossed the rail line, causing damages and injuries which was the fallout of the accident
