Nigerian policeman caught voting at party’s congress
A Nigerian Police Officer identified as Bashir Muhammad,has been caught on camera voting at the congress of the All Progressives Congress(APC).held at Sani Abacha Indoor Stadium at Kofar Mata of the state
Penpushing reports the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone One, Abubakar Bello, has however, ordered an investigation on the alleged crime by the policeman attached to Government House Kano State
The Police Public Relations of the Zone, Abubakar Zayyanu, in a statement said the Assistant Inspector General of Police has referred the matter to the Zonal X-Squad, for appropriate investigation.
Penpushing further reports that, the statement confirmed that the alleged police officer was attached to Government House, Kano, from where he was deployed to work with the then State Caretaker Committee Chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Abdullahi Abbas, who was elected state chairman of the party at the congress.
The police spokesman in the statement declared that, appropriate disciplinary measures will be taken against the officer if found wanting, emphasizing that further development on the matter would be communicated to the public in due course
