Nigeria defeat Libya to maintain lead in African cup of nations qualifiers

The Nigeria soccer team on Friday defeated its Libya counterpart with one goal, a victory which keeps Super Eagles top of Group D with seven points from their first three matches after Benin walloped Rwanda 3-0.

Penpushing reports that the match played at Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo saw the Super Eagles in a late minute goal recorded by substitute Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, after serious labour by the Nigeria team, which earlier was difficult for the team to outplay the defence and Libyan goalkeeper Murad Al Wuheeshi.
