My administration will pay adequate attention to holistic development if elected, says Falobi

The Governorship hopeful under the banner of All Progressives Congress (APC), ahead of 2026 governorship race, in Osun state, Engr Dideolu Falobi has assured that if elected his administration will focus on holistic development.

Penpushing reports that Falobi gave the assurance while featuring on a live radio programme in Iwo town of Osun State, just as he cautioned against the narrow view that good governance is achieved solely through road infrastructure.‎‎

The Ijesa born politician pointed out that road projects are important, however, emphasized that real governance means ensuring all roads, particularly those in rural areas are motorable, alongside giving equal attention to education, health, agriculture, youth employment, and security.‎

Penpushing further reports that he declared that vicious cycle must be broken if Osun state is to experience true progress, stating that successive governments sometimes lose focus because of pre-election pressures.

The engineer turned politician added that transactional politics, compel many  to prioritize recovering campaign expenses over fulfilling promises to the people who voted them into power.‎‎

“I know the inner workings of our politics. I have seen how campaign demands can derail good intentions, but I am coming into this race prepared and determined to keep my administration focused on the people. We will keep the doors of government open and truly listen to the yearnings of the masses’, he said.‎‎

Penpushing also reports that Falobi expressed confidence that All Progressives Congress (APC), fully determine to deliver transformational leadership, noting that the competitive race for the party’s ticket is a sign of a vibrant democracy and determination to move the state forward.‎‎

The Bobajiro of Ilesa on national issue praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ongoing reforms, stating that Nigerians are beginning to see the results of tough but necessary policy decisions, and urged them‎‎ to remain patient, with optimism that Tinubu’s people-centered policies will win him re-election in 2027.‎‎
