Mohbad was architect of his untimely death, says pastor bakare
The General Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church, Pastor Tunde Bakare has said the late musician, Ilerioluwa Aloba popularly called Mohbad pitched his tent with evil people during his time, which eventually led to his untimely death.
Penpushing reports that Bakare who expressed concern over the demise of Mohbad at 27, made this observation and noted that he (Mohbad) had unfortunately faced the consequences of his lifestyle choices during his short time on earth, reaping the reward of his unpleasant lifestyle while alive
The renowned cleric said the deceased life choices, even raised doubts about whether “Mohbad” was a suitable name, referring to a tape he and his wife had listened to, discussing the artist’s life choices and his untimely demise at an unripe age.
‘My wife and I listened to a tape last night on MohBad. How many of you know Mohbad? The Nigerian artiste who died at 27? Mohbad. When he was drinking and smoking and associating with evil men, he did not know that the harvest would come so soon and that he would soon be cut down at the prime of youth. I am not blaming him; I am just telling you. Is Mohbad a good name? Mohbad”, Bakare emphasized
Penpushing further reports that it is recalled that the Mohbad, passed away on September 12, 2023 in a controversial manner, which has continued to generate discussions and protests across the world, which resulted in exhuming his corpse for autopsy
The Lagos State Police Command on the order of the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun exhumed the corpse on Thursday following the controversial death and hurry manner in burying him at Ikorodu
Penpushing also reports that Command Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin who confirmed this said as at the time of filing this report autopsy on the corpse had been completed awaiting result, adding that a nurse alleged to have injected the musician while being admitted in hospital has been arrested
The police spokesman , however, kept mute on whether there was any other arrest aside from the nurse in custody, while it is equally recalled that Mohbad’s death has attracted concerns, as some alleged the owner of Marlian Records and singer, Azeez Fashola popularly known as Naira Marley as likely principal suspect on the controversial death
Penpushing reports that the police authorities have equally urged any family members or close associates of the deceased possessing valuable information pertaining to this case to come forward and cooperate with the Lagos State Police Command to ensure that justice is served and the circumstances surrounding his (Mohbad) demise are thoroughly examined.
