Journey of Nigerian up-coming comedian, MC Yungproh into entertainment world

Okoye Promise Onyedikachukwu is 20 year old 300 level student of Federal University of Agriculture (FUNNAB), Abeokuta, whose second address is comedy which is gradually bringing him to limelight.

Penpushing reports that in an exclusive interview with the upcoming comedian  he shed light on his journey into the entertainment world, which he started in 208, with specialized area in comedy, which today has earned him a place in the industry

The youthful comedian noted for rib cracking jokes at events and ceremonies is from Irefi, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State, but born and brought up in Ibadan, South-West of Nigeria

Penpushing further reports that, Okoye said it was God who motivates him into comedy, adding that he started comedy as free shows at various events to register his competence and skills in the minds of fans.

The university undergraduate recalled that, when he started the comedy journey his parents were worried on  the early two years, in view of the fact  that he used little resources he has  to attend shows and performed free of charge.

Penpushing also reports that, Okoye popularly called, MC Yungproh(comedian of the most High) explained that, thereafter, he started receiving grace of God, which has now propel him into being invited for number of shows across the country, where he makes money

‘When I started comedy, all I do was free shows/events to make my name known, but my parents  weren’t  too happy because for 2 years all I do was to be spending the little I have on going to comedy shows/events’, he stated.

‘Then my Dad  was wondering  how will I be doing business and not gaining from it, then he was angry with me, but I kept investing in myself and to the glory of God I am now getting paid for my services and they are now happy’.

Penpushing reports that MC Yungproh, disclosed that the coronavirus pandemic has greatly affect outdoor shows, lamenting that in the last one year(2020), he was only able to perform public show twice in a month, contrary to twice in a week.

The upcoming comedian resident in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital disclosed that his role model in the entertainment world is Akpororo known as King of nation, adding that his future plan in his comedy career is to be the best stand-up comedian in the world.

Penpushing further reports that, Okoye who is the first of the five children of his parents disclosed that his maiden mega comedy show is scheduled to hold in Ibadan, Oyo State Capital on February 14,2021

‘I want to be the best stand-up comedian in Africa and the world at large. My first comedy show is coming up in the ancient  city of Ibadan  on the 14th February 2021 tagged ‘Season of laughter with MC Yungproh, after that I will host ‘Season of laughter with MC Yungproh (Abeokuta edition) then Comedy Goes to Church with MC Yungproh and many more’, he said.

Penpushing also reports that, the talented comedian who is gradually becoming a household name, and planning to engage media consultant gave reason for his passion for comedy, saying, ’because I love comedy and find it easy to make people laugh’.
