Man allegedly rapes 87-year-old paralyzed grandmother
A 30-year-old man, who is a sweeper and resident of Tilak Nagar area in Delhi, the Indian Capital has been arrested by the police for allegedly raping an 87-year-ola paralyzed woman
Penpushing reports that, the old woman was at home on Sunday afternoon when the suspect who is a neighbor attacked her and also robbed her, while police confirmed that the family reported the case as theft and alleged rape the following day
The family, however, alleged the police to have discouraged them not to pursue the case, claiming that doing that would be stressful for them, but the family, however, criticized the police.
Penpushing further reports that, the family alleged that the police only register a complaint of theft and not rape, while the police authorities denied the allegation, but the Indian National Women’s Commission said on Monday that the commission had written to the Delhi Police seeking action against the officers who had allegedly not reacted promptly.
