MAN 26 ARRESTED FOR DEFILING SIX YEAR OLD GIRL IN OGUN

The Command Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi who confirmed the arrest said on the strength of the report, the Divisional Police Officer Ajuwon Division, Afolabi Kazeem led his detectives to the scene where the suspect was promptly arrested.

He added further that on interrogation, the suspect first denied the allegation but when the girl was taken to hospital and the medical report confirmed it, he owned up to to the commission of the crime.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered that the suspect be transferred to Anti-Human trafficking and child labour unit of the State criminal investigation and intelligence Department for further investigation and prosecution of the suspect.
