Governor Eno resigns from Peoples Democratic Party, joins All Progressives Congress

The Governor of Akwa Ibom State Umo Eno has disclosed that he has finally dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) , having tendered his resignation letter to the party and now found new love with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Penpushing reports that Eno who has been in the news in controversial manner in recent time announced his defection to All Progressives Congress (APC) at a meeting in the Government House attended by Governors of Lagos, Ogun, Edo, Delta, Ebonyi and Cross River states.

“Earlier this morning I submitted my letter of resignation from the PDP to the ward chairperson. Same copy has been sent to the state and national chairpersons of the party’, the Governor declared.

Penpushing further reports that with defection of Eno, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has for the first time in 26 years become an opposition party in Akwa Ibom State, while he has become the second Governor of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in South-South region, after Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) in less than two months.
