
Governor Dikko Radda involved in car crash, hospitalised
The Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has been involved in a car accident along the Daura–Katsina highway, and subsequently hospitalized as at the time of filing this report.
Penpushing reports that the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed confirmed this in a statement, but full circumstances of the accident involving the Governor remain unclear.
The statement disclosed that the accident occurred on Sunday while the Governor was on official duty, however, it is not yet known how many vehicles were involved as at the time of this report

Penpushing further reports that the Governor’s spokesperson in the statement described the incident as a minor road accident and assured the public that the governor did not sustain any serious injuries.
“We are pleased to confirm that the Governor is in good health and stable condition. Governor Radda remains in high spirits and expresses his gratitude to Almighty Allah for His protection, as well as Katsina citizens and well-wishers for their prayers and concern’, the statement reads
Penpushing also reports that Mohammed thereafter the statement posted a video of the governor on Facebook, in which he (Radda), was speaking in Hausa, confirmed he was hale and hearty.
The Governor who was a former director-general of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), said he was still undergoing treatment following the crash, however, thanked supporters and members of the public for their prayers and good wishes.
Penpushing reports that Radda, was elected governor of Katsina State in the 2023 general elections on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and succeeded former Governor Aminu Bello Masari.
