Commissioner of Police visits Alake Egbaland, promise flushing out criminals in Ogun state

The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Olanrewaju Oladimeji on Monday paid a courtesy visit to the Alake and Paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, Okukenu with a promise of a crime free State.

Penpushing reports that the new police boss accompanied by top police officers and members of the Ogun State Chapter of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) led by the Chairman Dr Kunle Popoola were received in the palace

The Commissioner addressing the monarch who was also accompanied by Egba High Chiefs, notable among them Osi of Egbaland Chief Bode Mustapha promised residents of the state of rejigging the security at ensuring a crime free society.

Penpushing further reports that Oladimeji assured the traditional ruler of his readiness to achieving the mandate given to him by the Inspector General of Police, aimed at ensuring that crime and criminalities are reduced to the barest minimum.

The police boss pointed out that this has started to manifest in the various breakthroughs made by the police in the last two weeks of his assumption of office, and equally sought royal blessing of the monarch.

Penpushing also reports that the royal father in response assured the new commissioner of a sustained relationship between the police and the people of the state and equally prayed that the state remains peaceful during his tenure.

The monarch specifically thanked and appreciated the supportive role being played by Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), urging them to continue in these noble roles, and in same vein praised the partnership role played by the committee in sustaining the positive image of the police.

Penpushing further reports that on the entourage of the commissioner include, DCP Bolanle Muritala, (Operations) Area Commander Adatan, ACP Edun, Commander Mopol 11, ACP Toyin Afolaogun and O/C Rapid Respond Squad, Divisional Police Officers Adatan and Oke-Itoku Divisions and Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi
