Leading music record company to promote African values in music industry
A fast growing music record company, TMW has assured that it will use influence as a label to further promote African values in the music industry, stressing that music is a business that cannot be put aside.
Penpushing reports that, the record label chairman, Temmie Olabode said this in an interview with journalists, noting that in Nigeria today, the entertainment industry have been a fast growing business in the country .
‘Entertainment industry is a business that generates value by providing people with something interesting to do. It’s a form of activity that holds the attention or gives pleasure and delight to people’, she said.
Penpushing further reports that, Olabode pointed out that, the global recorded music industries are experiencing a period of growth over the years, adding that, this rapid transformation of the music industry is through the innovation by record labels.
The company boss while speaking on the impacts of music to the development of any nation, on the winning of the Grammys award by Nigeria Artistes, affirmed that “winning the Grammys is a big one for Nigerian music industry. Music business is a serious business and can’t be put aside“ .
Penpushing also reports that, the company which just signed famous Nigerian artiste, Mr Ayoola Johnson, popularly called Ay.com, said, the world will focus on the Nigerian entertainment industry now, adding that the organization will make the music industry in Nigeria stand out to an enviable height.
As a country that values cultural heritage, TMW will use influence as a label to promote African values .The world will focus on the Nigerian Entertainment industry now. We Will create opportunities for serious, talented artistes”, she added.
Penpushing reports that, the company which recently appointed Barrister Habeeb Whyte as its legal adviser, emphasised that the company will make the music industry in Nigeria to be at limelight across the globe.
