LABOUR PARTY DEBUNKS RUMOUR OF ADEBUTU’S PLAN TO HIJACK PARTY FOR GOVERNORSHIP AMBITION IN OGUN

The party boss who spoke through the party’s National Legal Adviser Barrister Akingbade Oyelekan in Abeokuta faulted the statement credited to Oginni, describing it as unfounded, stressing that nobody can hijack the party’s structure in the state.

His words “I want to expressly debunk the rumours going around that Hon Ladi Adebutu attempted to hijack labour party in  Ogun State. I want to state that there is nothing like that and nobody can hijack our structure in labour party. We welcome any well-meaning  Ogun State indigene  to labour party in Ogun State’.

He added “And as a matter of fact the personality of this person they are talking about for now I want to state clear that this person have been malign this person has been ridicule at no time has he ever made any attempt to hijack the party.” .

“Whosoever has said that especially with regards to the acting secretary of the party in person of Ogini was misleading information and I want the entire public to disregard that information and as a party we tender an apology to the person of Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu “.

He also debunked the speculations that the lawmaker brought hoodlums to the state congress to attack some ward members of the party, pointing out that the congress was credible, free and fair.

He said “I want to say emphatically that through the wards that the congresses were conducted, they were rancour free and there was no attack. I want to state concerning Ikenne and Remo North that I was there personally there was no single attack there’.

“So I want to specifically debunked the totality of falsehood that is being spread that was published that some people were attacked, there was nothing of such because” he emphasized.
