Yoruba Nollywood actress, Iyabo Oko, dies at 62
A Nigerian Veteran Nollywood Actress, Sidikat Odunkanwi, popularly known as “Iyabo Oko” has been confirmed dead at age 62, after battling an unknown ailment
Penpushing reports that daughter of the deceased, Bisi Aisha made this known on her Instagram account and equally displayed her mother’s picture with a statement that it is well with her soul and prayed to rest in perfect peace
Te late actress was born on November 15, 1960, in Iwo, Osun State, and in 1973, she started acting as a teenager under Eda Onileola Theatre Troupe before becoming popular for her character role in the movie Oko, produced by ‘Oga Bello’.
Penpushing further reports that in 2015, she was diagnosed with an Ischemic stroke which made her take a break from acting, and in 2016, she was honoured with the Special Recognition Award at the City People Entertainment Awards for her contribution to the growth of the Yoruba movie industry.
