KANO ZOOLOGICAL GARDEN: LION BREAKS LOOSE, EATS GOATS

The residents within the metropolis, among them, Rabiu Lawal were said not to be comfortable, as many of them resolved to stay indoor, until announcement is made by the authorities on the captured of the loose lion

”My entire family members will be indoors even if it will take one month to recover the lion. I have not experienced this kind of fear since I packed into this area more than 15 years,” Lawal said.

Penpushing also reports that,, armed policemen were thereafter  deployed to the area while a search team was trying to capture the lion, but the Managing Director of the Zoological Garden, Saidu Gwadabe, could not be reach for comments as at the time of the incident.

The head of the zoological garden, Sai’du Gwarzo,  who later confirmed the recovery of the lion on Sunday said, “the rangers had succeeded in locking up the cage before the lion was shot with an injection which made him less harmful before it was captured and returned to its cage,’.
