He cited the late first civilian Governor of Ogun State, Bisi Onabanjo, and Chief Olusegun Osoba  as good example and reference points, as responsible journalists who ruled the state, and recorded resounding successes, stressing that if the duo can do it, other journalists can emulate them to do better

Penpushing further reports that, Oyesanya lamented that, numbers of practicing journalists are wasting their leadership qualities  in them, stressing that what they only do is writing stories, and failed to realize that, they can make the country better if they get to the power.

‘Journalists are wasting their leadership qualities, wake up to the challenges. This should be a food for thought. It is not about writing on others, journalists are the pillar of the nation, you need to realize that, and I know you are not cowards. Many of these politicians are not more intelligent than you, all what they do is used and dump’, he stressed.

The Prophet did not hide his displeasure over the conduct of some criminal-minded politicians, who he said were busy stocking fireams ahead of the forthcoming general elections, calling on them to have a re-think; hence, they would not leave to witness the elections

Hear him, ’for all politicians stocking firearms ahead of the forthcoming election, they will not leave to witness the election, for those engaging in rituals, will die untimely death’.
