JEALOUS LOVER ALLEGEDLY SHOT DEAD GIRLFRIEND IN BAYELSA OVER TELEPHONE CALL
The suspect an indigene of Agada-Ama community of the same Local Government Area has, however, been arrested by the police, as at the time of filing this report, which investigation has commenced on the crime.
Penpushing further reports that, the Balyesa State Police Command Public Relations Officer Asinim Butswat, confirmed the development, explaining that, “on April 14, 2019 at about 2245 hours one Munabo Tonworio ‘m’ 28 years shot dead his lover one Victoria Ekalamene ‘f’ 34 years, after a quarrel at the residence of the deceased in Oluasiri, Nembe LGA of Bayelsa’.
“The weapon, a locally cut-to-size gun and expanded AA ammunition were recovered from the scene. The suspect has been arrested and is being detained at the SCIID, Yenagoa. Investigation is ongoing,” Butswat said.
The deceased, was the bread winner of the relationship, and operates a provision store before her untimely death, while the suspect reported to have been on the wanted list of the Department of State Security (DSS) and the Joint Military Task force code named “Operation Delta Safe” over alleged involvement in preparation of charms for suspected kidnappers.
Penpushing gathered that, the late girl was said to have been allegedly habouring the suspect in her house from arrest by security personnel, but ironically the boyfriend ended in terminating her life over allegation of keeping a secret lover.
