Iyalode Alaba Lawson’s female lieutenants visit bereaved family

The Iyalodes across twenty local government areas of Ogun State on Thursday visited the bereaved family of their leader, Iyalode of Yorubaland, Iyalode Alaba Lawson who passed on Saturday October 28, 2023 in her private residence in Abeokuta.

Penpushing reports that the Iyalodes who were lieutenants of the deceased were led by Iyalode of Irolu, Bisayo Omisanya and were received by the children of the late number one women leader in South-West, at the Quarry Road residence in the town.

The group prayed for the reposed soul of their leader who died peacefully at 72 years, and also prayed for the children left behind, with a pledge that they would continue with the legacy left behind by their deceased mentor.

Penpushing further reports in a letter of condolence presented by the body of Iyalodes, said the news of the demise brought profound sadness to their hearts, noting that her presence, drive passion strength and contributions were source of inspiration

‘We extend our deepest condolences to you and your family on the passing of the esteemed Iyalode Alaba Lawson, the Iyalode of Egbaland and Iyalode of Yorubaland, founder of the great Iyalode Group, a mother to all, an entrepreneur per excellence’, the letter reads

‘The news of our dearest Mama Iyalode Alaba Lawson’s departure brought profound sadness to our hearts. Her presence, drive passion, strength and contributions were source of inspiration and strength, not only to her family, but to the entire Yoruba community and beyond’

Penpushing also reports that the group pointed out that the late Iyalode Alaba Lawson  leaves behind a legacy of wisdom, grace, and unwavering dedication that has launched the lives of countless and number of individuals

‘While we understand that words cannot fully ease the pain of your loss, please know that we share in your grief and here to offer our support in any way we can. Our dear Mama Iyalode Alaba Lawson’s memory will forever be cherished within our hearts, and her remarkable life will continue to inspire us’, the group stated

‘May you find solace in the fond memories you hold of Iyalode Alaba Lawson, Justice of Peace and may her spirit guide you through this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this period of mourning’, the letter added

Penpushing reports that members of the body include: Iyalode Bisayo Omisanya(Irolu), Aderonke Adekunmisi(Abigi, Ogun Waterside),Funmilayo Alabi(Ifo), Adebisi  Ojugbele(Ota),Ajoke Eweje(Igbesa),Kudirat Ogun muyiwa(Kemta) and Mojisola Animashaun(Iju-Ota)

The others are Modupeola Junaid (Elerinko-Ota), Arike Iroko(Ilisha( Egushi-Ota), Olufunke  Agbeni (Ijaba Ota)Tawakalit Adebwale(Mango Oke-Ata), Falilat Kareem(Kuto), Idiat Shodipo(Asa), Adejoke Balogun(Mile 2 Ayetoro road), Afusat Odunfa(Ilaro) and Omobolanle Akintade(Ijaiye)
