Crescent University assures college of broadcasting undergraduates of academic quality

The management of Crescent University, Abeokuta has assured students of the College of Broadcasting, an offshoot of the Freelance Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria (FIBAN) in the Mass Communication Department of the institution of academic quality.

Penpushing reports that, Head of Department of Mass Communication, Dr Kola Adesina gave the assurance while addressing the first set of students in the College of Broadcasting of the institution, during their practical experience in the radio and television sections of the department.

The renowned journalist assured the students that, they were in  right institution to learn and gathered relevant knowledge in  broadcast journalism , emphasizing that the department has been adjudged as one of the best in Africa  by the National Universities Commission(NUC)

Penpushing further reports that, Adesina while buttressing his point disclosed that number of graduates from the department are making wave in their various places of work, which include British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), where some of them (graduates) have being employed, as well as other notable organization across the globe

The Head of Department, while calling on the students to be committed to the course, and be passionate about their study, stated that, the university has relevant facilities to make them  good practitioners on completion of the course

Penpushing also reports that, he boasted that, the certificate from the university has remained a hot cake across the globe, which paved way for number of the university products, however, encouraged the students to make use of the advantage of academic excellence of the institution by studying hard to obtain the certificate.

The journalism teacher expressed optimism that, with quality of lecturers being paraded by the university, the students have all rights and opportunities to excel, at the end of the course, adding that they would end up becoming pride of the institution.

Penpushing reports, that a lecturer in the department, Dr Jamiu Folarin  took time to take the students on the practical aspect of the course, engaging them on the radio and television studios practical and rudiments, which lasted for over an hour.
