Inter-Party Advisory Council pledges loyalty to Governor Dapo Abiodun

The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Ogun State Chapter, has pledge full support and cooperation with Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, stressing that the body is not opposition to the administration.

Penpushing reports that the Council led by the new Chairman Comrade Sanyaolu Abayomi, with other chairmen of fourteen political parties in the state made the pledge during a consultative meeting with the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi in Abeokuta.

The council boss which had in attendance Publicity Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Ogun State Chapter Tunde Oladunjoye, emphasized that the group is partner in progress to take the state to greater height and would not endorse a candidate ahead of the 2027 poll.

‘We are here to pledge our loyalty to the government. We are partners in progress in taking our state to greater height. We want to call on government to open its doors for us and to carry us along in the implementation of its ISEYA agenda”, Abayomi said.

‘We are not an opposition party. We want to work hand-in-hand with the government. If there were disagreements within IPAC in the past, we want to assure the government that those issues have been resolved today and IPAC is now one house and we are forging ahead as one”, he added.

Penpushing further reports that Abayomi while urging that such interface with government should be on a regular basis, commended the Governor’s achievements, especially in the area of education, disclosing that the council has already unveiled exercise books that would be distributed across Ogun State in demonstration of its support for the government’s accomplishments in the education sector.

The Secretary to the State Government in response said the current administration in the state is dedicated to the promotion of peace and harmony in the state, adding that the government was not interested in a divided Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), as a political advisory body

‘Government is not interested in a divided IPAC, you are better together and we are always willing to work with IPAC as a political advisory body. We run an inclusive government as it has been demonstrated severally and we are always ready to partner with genuine lovers of our administration and the state’, Talabi emphasized
