
Inspector General of Police orders investigation into Wasiu Ayinde’s misconduct at airport
The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed receipt of petition from the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) over an alleged unruly behaviour of Wasiu Ayinde popularly called KWAM 1, who obstructed the safe operation of an aircraft, in violation of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulation in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Penpushing reports that the Force Public Relations Officer Muyiwa Adejobi made this known in a statement on Tuesday adding that the Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun has ordered immediate investigation into the matter which occurred on August 5,2025 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
The statement added that the Inspector-General of Police, directed the Commissioner of Police, Airport Command, to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter, to unravel the circumstances which led to the ugly incident and ensure justice is served accordingly.
