Lagos state assembly sacks Service Commission Boss

The Lagos State House of Assembly has sacked the chairman of the State House of Assembly Commission (LAHASCOM), Wale Mogaji, in a unanimous decision on Thursday which followed a voice vote by members of the House at plenary.

Penpushing reports that, the assemblymen, thereafter appointed Folashade Latona as the new Secretary of the Commission who replaces Esther Lambo, who retired recently, and also confirmed Olalekan Onafeko as the substantive Clerk of the House.

The House in similar development elevated three other senior staff to Deputy Clerks, and they include Babs Animashaun, Taiwo Otun, and Adenike Oshinowo, while earlier during the plenary, the assembly raised concerns over the recent boat mishap that led to the death of about 15 people on June 8 as well as the floods recorded in some parts of the state recently.

Penpushing further reports that,the lawmakers  at the plenary emphasised a need by the State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu to work towards a solution to the flooding incidents.
