I WILL CREATE OFFICE OF ‘FIRST MAN’ IF ELECTED OGUN GOVERNOR, SAYS LABOUR PARTY CANDIDATE
She explained that, her administration would consider gender equality in governance, hence, the need to create’ first man’ office in the State, as known to be done by the male Presidents and Governors in the country.
The Governorship Candidate posited that, if male Governors can be doing that, there was nothing wrong for female Governors, to emulate such, adding that, it is a way to give men sense of belongings in government, and declared that, if elected, that has become to stay.
‘Our government is going to be gender sensitive, and we are going to create office of the first man in the state. What is good for the goose must also be good for the gander. If our male governors can create office of first lady, we should also be able to create office of the first man when we get to the office’ Sanyaolu emphasized
Speaking further of her plans for the state, she emphasized that, she would make girl-child education a priority, as well as completed the uncompleted projects that might be left behind by the outgoing administration.
Penpushing reports, that she, however, said this should not stop her administration to execute her own blue print, which include raising the welfare standard of the citizens and residents, as well as effect laudable projects for the betterment of the state.
Similarly, Sanyaolu said women welfare will be one of the projects her administration going to pursue vigorously, adding that the era of the believe that, the roles of women are limited to the kitchen has gone.
‘I believe time has come for women to take over leadership control and I am well groomed for the task. We have this believe in Nigeria that, the role of women is limited to kitchen, and this was then, and time has change. If women can successfully administer home, then we can administer state and federal levels better’, she declared
