I am “Emi Lokan” Governor of Ogun State in 2027, says Gboyega Isiaka

A member of House of Representatives at national assembly representing Yewa North/Imeko-Afon Federal Constituency, Hon Gboyega Isiaka has adopted “Emi Lokan” slang of President Bola Tinubu declaring that it is also his turn to become next Ogun State Governor in 2027.

Penpushing reports that Isiaka made the declaration and expressed optimism during a media chat on Sunday in Abeokuta adding that he is the most qualified aspirant to secure ticket of All Progressives Congress (APC) and subsequently win the Governorship seat in the next political dispensation.

“I am sweetest aspirant. Emi lokan as next Governor of Ogun State. It is my turn to become next governor in the state. I am ready for the race. If I am not ready, I wont put myself in front for the race. I cannot be demoralised”, he emphasised

Penpushing further reports that Isiaka recalling his experience during his earlier attempt to contest in 2019, accused Senator Solomon Adeola popularly called Yayi, representing Ogun West Senatorial District of betraying him, having earlier agreed with other stakeholders to support candidate who emerged from the zone for the governorship race.

The two-time governorship candidate said it was later discovered that contrary to the agreement of support Adeola worked for another candidate from another zone against him, adding that he has, however, put the experience behind and remain focused for the race ahead of 2027.

Penpushing also reports that he said he opened up on the incident to correct wrong narratives being spread in some quarters stating that he is more determined and energised now, emphasizing that he cannot be demoralised and that he would go out in all front to become flagbearer of the party and win at the poll.

The popular politician who boasted that he is bonafide indigene of Ogun West and the state, however, explained that he would be moderate in spending, coupled with support already put in place by his supporters and loyalists.

Penpushing reports that Isiaka equally advised party leadership not to take side with any aspirant, as all of them declared interest, rather, the leadership should provide level playing ground for all aspirants.

The chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC), on traditional rulers who currently pitched tent with aspirant, said such act and actions were uncalled for, stressing that monarchs should be seen as fathers to all aspirants and provide conducive atmosphere for all of them.

Penushing further reports that the federal lawmaker who few weeks ago had announced his governorship ambition, reacting to endorsement of an aspirant by members of Ogun State House of Assembly said that wasn’t a threat to his own aspiration, adding that ironically those behind the endorsement doesn’t even know their fates for their second term ambition.

The renowned politician popularly called GNI emphasised that the endorsement was not a yardstick for aspirant to secure the party ticket, adding that his focus if elected as Governor is economy viable of the state among other beneficiary programmes for the citizens
