Peoples Democratic Party expels Wike, Fayose, Anyanwu, eight others
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expelled Nyesom Wike, (Minister of the Federal Capital Territory), and Ayodele Fayose (former Ekiti State governor), as well as the embattled National Secretary of the party, Samuel Anyanwu
Penpushing reports that decision to expelled the trio was taken on Saturday during the party’s ongoing elective national convention in Ibadan, Oyo State, following the adoption of a motion over alleged anti-party activities.
The party at the elective national convention led by its National Chairman, Umar Damagun, also removed Mohammed Abdulrahman, the factional chairman aligned with the Wike’s camp, while the expulsion notice was posted on the party’s official X handle a few hours into the convention

Penpushing further reports that three of Wike’s allies who challenged the holding of the convention in court, arguing that state congresses were not conducted in accordance with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) constitution, were also expelled.
They include Chairman Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Imo State Chapter, Austine Nwachukwu; Abia State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman, Amah Nnanna, and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) South-South Zonal Secretary, Turnah George.
Penpushing also reports that others include the National Organising Secretary, Umaru Bature; National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade; as well as Mao Ohuabunwa and Chief Dan Orbih.
