I am a beneficiary of late Prophet Joshua’s largesse, says Governor Akeredolu
The Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has disclosed that he is a beneficiary of late founder of Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet Temitope Joshua’humankind and gestures while alive.
Penpushing reports that, Akeredolu made the disclosure at the burial ceremony of the cleric popularly called T,B Joshua held in Ikotun, Lagos State, encouraging the church and members left behind to follow his footprints.
The Governor going memory lane to buttress his claim said when he was elected the Governor the deceased gave him money to assist him to entertain his guests before his inauguration, adding that in the same vein, Joshua is known not to forget his root.
“Even as a person, I benefitted from his largesse as a governor-elect; he gave me cash to assist me to entertain guests before my inauguration. He is one who did not forget his roots, as he contributed well in making life better for his people in Ondo by giving scholarships to indigent students, paying huge electricity bills for four LGAs in Ondo, and providing transformers for them to restore electricity,” he said.
Penpushing further reports that, Akeredolu described the demise of the popular clergyman as a huge loss to humanity, pointing out that he was. endeared to many people by his healing and deliverance ministries
The Governor added that, Joshua who died on June 5 at 57, after a church service, was someone with uncommon gift from childhood, who started early to perform wonders among his peers right there in his native town .
“He started early to perform wonders among his peers right there in his native town. He would tell his peers that something was going to take place in so and so time, but his friends would doubt him until when the time came and what he said would come to pass. His miracle and prophesy lifestyle was not a fluke as being viewed in some quarters’, Akeredolu said.
Penpushing also reports that, Akeredolu stated that the late Prophet paid the price before reaching stardom, stressing that, his positive impact mission was visible in many communities,adding that his lifestyle worth of emulation.
The Governor emphasized that, his legacies should be supported to continue to grow in spite of his departure, adding that, his love for the less privileged inspired him into social service ministry that resulted in the growth of his church.
