Former Governor Gbenga Daniel loses Chief Press Secretary, Penpushing Media laments loss

Former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel has lost his Chief Press Secretary, Ayo Giwa who was reported dead following sudden asthmatic attack on Sunday night which was said to lasted for about thirty minutes.

Penpushing reports that, Daniel confirmed the sad news when phone call was put across to him by Penpushing Media on Monday  lamenting the sudden loss of the veteran journalist, and founding member of the defunct Gateway Front Media.

The former Governor also in a statement mourns, ‘I received the very shocking news of the sudden death of our own Ayo Giwa last night after a breif illness. Ayo Giwa was one of the original Gateway Faront Media since 2001’

‘After the election in 2003, he emerged as the Chief Press Secretary to the then Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt Hon Mrs Titi Oseni-Gomez. He later became my CPS in 2011 which position he held until his demise last night’, Daniel wrote

‘Ayo was an amiable and pleasant personality who concentrated on his job with dedication and loyalty. It is most unfortunate that he passed on at this time, and all we can do is to pray for the family left behind that God will grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss’, the former Governor said.

Penpushing further reports that members of the Penpushing platform, where Giwa was a member before the sudden death, also forwarded condolence messages  over the shocking development, praying to God to accept his gentle soul.

The  Management and Editorial board in a statement expressed shock over the demise of Giwa, descrbing him as proactive journalist, with dedication to the pen profession, praying for his soul to rest in perfect.

Penpushing  also reports that, Chairman Editorial Board, Olufunke Fadugba in the statement said,’it is with deep heart  and sorrow the management and editorial board of Penpushing received the death of Ayo Giwa, a member of this noble platform, and a known proactive journalist’

‘’The news of the death, as received early this morning was shocking and unbelievable, but later dawn on the board, when it was confirmed by one of our leaders on the platform. No doubt, we are all going to miss him, but we cannot question God, who know best. We pray for Giwa’s soul to rest in perfect peace, and we also pray that, God will be with the family left behind
