Gunmen kill peoples democratic party house of representatives’ candidate

A former House of Representatives candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Jude Oguejiofor, who hailed from Orsumoghu in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State have been killed by gunmen.

Penpushing reports that the politician, a lawyer who lived in Nnewi in Nnewi North Local Government Area of the state was abducted around 1 a.m. last week alongside his brother, having gone to see their aged parents in Orsumoghu Community

The brother of the late politician who is said to be a Medical Doctor was reported to have been released by the gunmen, just as sources disclosed that Oguejiofor, who contested for the Ihiala Federal Constituency House of Representatives seat in the 2023 general elections under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was said to have been accused by the gunmen of writing petitions against them and their activities in the community.

Penpushing further reports that the sources added that Oguejiofor’s father fainted and died on Thursday when the gunmen contacted the family and informed them that they had killed the politician.

Meanwhile, the Anambra State Police Command as at the time of filing this report on Monday was yet to react or issue any official statement to confirm or deny the ugly development
