Gunmen kill man while relaxing at home on easter day
Gunmen have shot dead a man identified as Olumide Danisa Ifeoluwa popularly called ‘Tescom’ outside premises of his residence located at Somefun Ijeun- Tuntun in Abeokuta, Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun State on Easter Sunday.
Penpushing reports that Ogun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola who confirmed this in a statement said following a distress call received by the Ibara Divisional Police Officer, that the community heard gunshots, the team raced to the scene.
The statement disclosed on arrival at the scene the victim was found on the pool of his blood lying lifeless, adding that it was discovered that the deceased was shot in the head by two gunmen who alighted from an unregistered Toyota Corolla vehicle, Ash Colour,
‘It was gathered that the deceased was shot in the head by two gunmen who alighted from an unregistered Toyota Corolla vehicle, ash Colour, and released shots while Olumide was sitting outside his house at about 19:55hrs of 31/3/24, and fled the scene’, the statement said
Penpushing further reports that Odutola in the statement explained that the victim was rushed to the State Hospital Ijaiye where the duty Doctor confirmed him dead, adding that the remains have being deposited in the morgue for autopsy.
The statement said as at the time of filing this report no arrested has been made, stressing that the Commissioner of Police, Alamutu Abiodun has been briefed and he has directed the Area Commander Metro Abeokuta to commence a preliminary investigation.
