Governorship poll: Young Progressives Party denies alliance with Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun state

The Young Progressives Party (YPP), Ogun State Chapter has disassociated itself from political alliance announced by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the Governorship and State Assembly elections scheduled for next Saturday.

Penpushing reports that leadership of Young Progressives Party (YPP) in a statement by Prince Adewale Akinsanya(Chairman) and Barrister Kayode Akinsola(Secretary) respectively  faulted the claim of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP)

The Young Progressives Party (YPP) emphasized that the claim of being part of ten political parties endorsing the Governorship Candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon Ladi Adebutu was figment of the imagination of the party and its candidate

‘The attention of the leadership of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) has been drawn to a media reports being circulated by a cross section of the media, that one Hon. Ladi Adebutu of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was adopted in Ogun state as their Gubernatorial candidate, a story which was founded to be fake, untrue and misleading’.

‘Such news is within the figment of the imagination of the Peoples Democratic Party, which will do anything to curry the attention of the unsuspecting electorates. It appears as if the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is yet to get over the hangover of their colossal failures in the last national elections, where they failed woefully’

Penpushing further reports that the Young Progressives Party (YPP), however, urged the members of the general public to ignore such information or any news that is capable of causing confusion in the polity, stressing that in Ogun State the party has no intention to support Peoples Democratic Party.
