Governor Alia presents sports utility vehicles to Benue state judges

The Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia has presented six Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) to the state judiciary, adding that his administration will make the welfare of judiciary staff a priority for improved service delivery.

Penpushing reports that the Governor represented by Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice and Public Order, Fidelis Mnyim while presenting the vehicles commended the judiciary for its services, urging it to do more to ensure that law and order were strictly maintained in the state.

The Governor urged the judiciary staff to put the vehicles to good use for the benefit of the state, stressing that four of the cars were for the State High Court judges, while two were for the judges of the Customary Court of Appeal.

The Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice and Public Order, speaking on behalf of the judiciary commended the Governor for promoting the rule of law in the state as well as granting autonomy to the judiciary for optimal performance.

Penpushing further reports that Mnyim pointed out that the ministry took delivery of the vehicles, and a date would be communicated for the presentation of the cars to the judges.
