Governor Abiodun is only authority to lift suspension on activities of Transport Workers, says Habeeb Ajayi

The Ogun State Parks and Garages Development Agency (PAGADA), has debunked speculations on social media that it has lifted the suspension on the activities of National Union of Roads Transport Workers (NURTW) in the State.

Penpushing reports that, Chairman of the board, Hon Habeeb Ajayi made this explanation that contrary to the rumour, it was the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun who has the executive power to lift the suspension.

The board boss said the agency has no authority to upturn the decision of the Governor, adding that those behind the fake news were trying to be mischievous, emphasisng that as it stands as at the time of this report Park Management Services (PAM) under the leadership of Alhaji Akeem Bdunrin-Iyeru is saddled with the responsibilities of collecting revenue from cars and buses during the National Union of Roads Transport Workers (NURTW) week in the state.

“For the records, the state government established PAM to collect revenue from buses and cars on behalf of the government during the NURTW week in the state. PAGADA will only work with agencies appointed by the state government’, Ajayi said.

“PAM is the only body given permission by the state government to sell tickets during the NURTW week in Ogun state. Purveyors of fake news should desist from sending wrong signals to the public’, he added.
