Fraudster hacks Lagos State Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa WhatsApp contact to defraud media practitioner
A suspected fraudster has hacked the WhatsApp contact of the Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Mudashiru Obasa in a bid to defraud innocent members of the public, calling for an online meeting with a specific code number.
Penpushing reports that the fraudster operating on mobile telephone number +2347072975678 has pasted the picture of the speaker on his WhatsApp contact as a bait to attract his targeted victim, to be part of the fake meeting he scheduled to hold 8.30am on Wednesday.
The fraudster introducing himself as Rt Hon Mudashiru Obasa, Speaker Lagos State House of Assembly at about 8.40pm on Tuesday contacted the Founder of Penpushing Media, Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji to inform him of the arranged fake online meeting, asking him to link up with a dubious code number 675770
‘Hello, my name is Rt Hon Mudashiru Obasa, Speaker Lagos House of Assembly. How are you my brother, and your family. I call to inform you of an online meeting scheduled to hold tomorrow (Wednesday) by 8.30am. I have just sent a code to your phone for you to register, you can check now to register’, the fraudster said on phone
Penpushing further reports that the media practitioner unknown to the fraudster was playing along with him, with an excuse that he (Kayode-Adedeji) was behind the wheel and would get back to him to register for the meeting thereafter.
The anxious fraudster, however, told his target to take a brief stop and park his car to enable him register before the fake code number get disappear on his phone, and at this stage, he(fraudster) was told to exercise level of patience.
Penpushing also reports that the audacious fraudster, who unknown to him was being play on his dubious intelligence, however, requested the journalist to call him back as soon as he gets to his destination, so that he can send a new code to him to be part of the fraudulent meeting
