All progressives’ congress wants atiku, saraki, melaye probe over alleged ‘linked’ with hushpuppi

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has linked top leaders of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party to the alleged cyber fraudster Ramon Abbas, popularly called Hushpuppi, and therefore called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to probe the said party stalwarts.

Penpushing reports that, All Progressives Congress (APC) in a statement by its Deputy spokesman, Yekini Nabena on Saturday identified the opposition party leaders said to have shady links with Hushpuppi as include: Nigeria’s former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar; immediate past Senate President, Bukola Saraki; a former speaker of House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara; a Senator, Dino Melaye,

The ruling party in its first reaction after the arrest of Hushpuppi in Dubai and subsequent extradition to United States of America(USA) to face criminal charges of internet fraud, said the mentioned stalwarts of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) turned Dubai to venue of their strategic meeting ahead of the 2019 Presidential election with Hushpuppi in attendance

“That the PDP leadership turned Dubai into their ‘Strategic’ meeting place ahead of the 2019 general elections in Nigeria and Hushpuppi’s affinity with the PDP leadership is not mere coincidence” Yekini Nabena.

“At different times, Hushpuppi was seen photographed in Dubai meeting with the PDP’s 2019 presidential candidate, Alh. Atiku Abubakar; former Senate President, Bukola Saraki; former Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara; Senator Dino Melaye among other PDP stalwarts’, the statement said.

“While relevant authorities investigate the nature of their relationship and business partnership, we also challenge the PDP leadership to do same by opening up on the nature of the relationship, particularly the kind of services the arrested Hushpuppi provided them,” he added.

Penpushing reports that, the spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP,Kola Ologbondiyan, was quoted saying while reacting that, he would need to speak to the highlighted names before he can release an official statement.

The former Senate President, Bukola Saraki in swift response described as irresponsible and cheap politics the statement credited to the All Progressives Congress (APC) which tried to link him with a cyber-crime suspect, Ramon Abbas.

Penpushing also reports that, Saraki in a statement issued in Abuja stated that he has no form of association with the said suspect, Ramon Abbas otherwise known as Hushpuppi and neither does he know him in any way.

Meanwhile, Hushpuppi who was recently arrested alongside his associates in Dubai for alleged cyber fraud and now facing trial in America for alleged cyber-fraud,  possibly money laundering, among other crimes is known for his lavish lifestyle on Instagram
