Four die, 12 injured in Lagos-Ibadan expressway crash

Four persons were on Wednesday killed in a road crash in Oniworo turning within Fidiwo axis of Lagos-Ibadan expressway, a total of 16 persons were involved which comprised of 13 male adults and 3  female adults.

Penpushing reports that, Superintendent Route Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC),Ogun State Command, Florence Okpe who confirmed the incident said two vehicles with registration number  APP111XM a Mazda bus and Howo tanker  with no registration number on it were involved in the crash

The Public Education Officer of the Corps added that, a total of 12 persons were injured  which include: 9 male adult and 3 female adult, adding that all four persons who lost their lives in the crash were male

Penpushing further reports that, Okpe in the statement said the suspected causes of the crash  were excessive speed and loss of control, adding that the injured victims  were taken to Victory Hospital, Ogere and  Idera hospital Sagamu while the bodies of the killed  were deposited at morgue of FOS Ipara.

The statement stated that, Sector Commander of the corps, Ahmed Umar, commiserated with the family of the crash victims and enjoined them to contact Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Ogunmakin for more information about the crash.
