Four burnt to death on Lagos-Ibadan expressway auto crash

Four persons were killed and burnt beyond recognition in an auto crash which occurred on Wednesday around Fidiwo area of Ogunmankin located in Obafemi-Owode local government area of Ogun State, along Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

Penpushing reports that, the Public Education Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps(FRSC),Ogun State Command , Florence Okpe who confirmed this in a statement said the  crash occurred at about 1425 hours, adding that 18 persons were involved

‘A total of 18 persons were involved and all male adult, 13 persons were injured and 04 deaths recorded from the road traffic crash which were burnt beyond recognition. 01 vehicle was  involved with  registration  number burnt a TOYOTA  HIACE BUS’, she said

Penpushing further reports that, Okpe said,the suspected causes of  the crash were speed, Tyre bust  and loss of control, adding that, the vehicle somersaulted and went into flame,and that the   injured victims were taken to Victory Hospital Ogere and some to Idera  Hospital Sagamu.

The Sector Commander  of the Federal Road Safety Corps(FRSC) Ogun state command, Ahmed Umar  commiserated with the family of the crash victims and advised motorists to drive cautiously, and always check their tyres as well as  avoid speed violation
