Former Governor Ajimobi buried in Ibadan

The remains of  late former Governor of Oyo State Abiola  who died due to coronavirus complications on Thursday at a Lagos Hospital were on Sunday buried in his Ibadan, the State Capital residence

Penpushing reports that the coffin containing Ajimobi’s body was carried by facemasked coffin bearers with gloves as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of coronavirus

The corpse of the late 70 year old former governor was later brought out from a bus on arrival at his Oluyole estate home in Ibadan, and thereafter  the commencement of the burial, with  a heavy security presence in the area

Penpushing further reports that, the burial was attended by prominent Islamic clerics including Kunle Saani,Muideen Bello, and the Chief Imam of Ibadan, Abubakri Abdulganiyu, while a special prayer is to be offered for the deceased at his Abiola Ajimobi Central Mosque in Oke-Ado, Ibadan.

Meanwhile, a former chairman of Oluyole Local Government Area, Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye, also confirmed to journalists that the deceased has been buried.
