Five persons die as tanker crushes Micra car in Ibadan

Five persons were reported dead on Monday when a petrol tanker crushed Micra car in Celica area, along Ibadan/Ife express way, Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, while the two vehicles plunged into river.
Penpushing reports that the Oyo State Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps,(FRSC) Winifred Chuckwura who confirmed the incident said that three male adults and two female adults lost their lives , adding that their corpses had being deposited at Adeoyo State Hospital in Ibadan.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) boss said, the cause of the accident was linked to brake failure which led to lost of control, just as he however urged drivers to always be sensitive while driving, so as to avoid reoccurrence of such incident.
“The accident involved a Mark tanker fully loaded with Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) and a Micra. The incident happened around seven o’clock this morning, our men in Egbeda Unit Command are on ground, and body of the victim has been deposited in a morgue.”
