
Fayose eats amala with ewedu soup alongside bricklayers to celebrate court acquittal over N2.2 billion fraud
The former Governor of Ekiti State Ayodele Fayose, on Wednesday celebrated his victory at the Federal High Court in Lagos by buying and eating a local delicacy, amala with ewedu soup, alongside some bricklayers at a construction site.
Penpushing reports that the court had earlier in judgment delivered by Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke discharged and acquitted him in N2.2 billion fraud and money laundering brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) six years ago.

‘We are grateful to God and that is why we are celebrating with Amala; Jesus Christ said these ones are my family. These are my family people, these gentlemen here. We thank God for giving victory after seven years’, Fayose said in the video
Penpushing further reports that Fayode, pointing to the construction site workers asked them if they are enjoying the meal, which they equally responded in unison that they enjoy in sharing a meal of amala with him.

The spokesman for the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, Lere Olayinka, shared a video of Fayose’s celebration on his Facebook page, with caption that “Fayose celebrates Court Victory, eating amala with site workers.”
