Eleven National Youth Corps members in Taraba State test positive for coronavirus

The Taraba State Government has confirmed that eleven members of National Youths Service Corps undergoing orientation in the State have tested positive for coronavirus, and appealed to members of the public to always observe protocols to mitigate the spread of the disease.

Penpushing reports that the Chairperson of the coronavirus Technical Committee in the state, Innocent Vakkai confirmed this on Monday at a press conference organised by the Ministry of Information and Orientation in Jalingo, the state capital.

The Technical Committee Chairman who doubles as the Commissioner for Health said the victims were currently receiving treatments at various isolation centres in the state, and urged residents of  to be cautious of the pandemic.

Penpushing further reports that, in the last few weeks Nigerians have shown disregards to the coronavirus protocols, and therefore there is palpable fear that the country may soon go into second phase of the upsurge cases of the virus
